Art in any form, including drawing, painting, photograph, sculpture and mixed media, that is representative of living with epilepsy may be submitted via digital format through the Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California website at www.epilepsynorcal.org. See instructions below for entering artworks into the contest.
The contest is open to artists of any age.
The Work Must Be Original:
The artist must be the creator of the art that the artist submits to the contest. The artwork must be the artist’s own original concept and not a copy of someone else’s work. If the work infringes upon the copyright of another it will be disqualified. The artist is solely responsible for any copyright infringement and, by submitting an entry to this contest, agrees to fully indemnify and hold harmless the Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California for any copyright claims to the maximum extent permitted by law. The Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California reserves the right to request proof that an entry is the artist’s original work, and failure to provide such proof will result in disqualification.
There is no fee to enter this contest.
There is no restriction on entering an artwork that has been entered in another competition. There is also no limit to the number of works an artist may enter into the contest or the number of prizes an artist may win.
The artist retains all copyrights to their artwork without exception.
By submitting artwork to this competition, the artist grants the Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of the submitted artwork on both the Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California and Anita Kaufmann Foundation websites, newsletters, and social media for the purpose of publicity and marketing of the contest. Artworks will not be used by the Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California for any other purpose without explicit consent from the artist. The artist hereby acknowledges that photographs of all winning entries will be displayed on the Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California website and social media sites. Each submission may become part of the public, historical / archival online contest catalog, but can be removed upon request of the artist.
